Dear Parents & Friends of Artgrain,
We would like to invite all participating students and their parents to the opening ceremony of our exhibition, Double Time, held at Straits Gallery in conjunction with Singapore Art Week 2023. The works of students reflecting on the past and present of Singapore are being exhibited alongside paintings by prolific Singaporean artist, Koeh Sia Yong. The participating students come from our Primary 5 and 6 Portfolio Preparatory Programme, Secondary Art Programme and Adult Art Programme. Exhibition participants will be presented with certificates at the opening ceremony. Artgrain and Straits Gallery are pleased to announce our two Guests-of-Honour for this Sunday’s event, our artist inspiration Koeh Sia Yong as well as the contemporary painter Yeo Tze Yang.
Exhibition Opening Ceremony: 2pm-3.30pm on Sunday, 8 January 2023.
Exhibition Duration: Thursday, 5 January 2023 – Sunday, 15 January 2023
Award Ceremony and Guest-of-Honour speeches will be held in the Koeh Sia Yong museum
Artworks will be exhibited at both Straits Gallery (White Space) and the Koeh Sia Yong Museum. Guests are welcome to move between the 2 spaces and stay on after the opening closes to view artworks on their own. Light refreshments will be served.
2.15 – 2.45pm: Award Ceremony
2.45pm: Guest-of-Honour Speech
3.30pm: Official commencement of viewing
*All participants to arrive by 2pm sharp.
Upon arrival kindly report to the reception table at the front of the gallery and show a screenshot of your confirmed registration.
PURCHASE OF ARTWORKS
Most artworks in the exhibition are available for purchase. If you wish to purchase an artwork, please take a photograph of the artwork and send the photograph and artist’s name via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Purchases will be awarded on a first come first serve basis. Straits Gallery will be taking a 20% commission, while the artist will receive 80% sale.
The prices of the artworks are fixed as follows:
A1 – $900 | A2 – $700 | A3 – $500

Please park your vehicles at Level 1 and Level 2 carparks of the Northstar building. Take the lift up to Level 5. Alternatively, you may park at nearby multi-storey HDB carpark, Block 966A and walk over.
